About Me: I grew up in East Bank, WV. My parents were not Christians, and I knew very little about Jesus. It was not until 1998, when I was 20 years old, that God made Himself known to me. While at Marshall University, I was deeply involved in Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM). BCM is where I learned to have a relationship with Christ. BCM is also where I met my future wife, Olivia. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Wake Forest, NC to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduating in 2005, Olivia and I got married and moved to Charleston, WV to work with BCM at the University of Charleston. In 2008, God brought us back to Huntington to be the state BCM director and to lead BCM at Marshall. Upon returning to Huntington, our family attended First Baptist Church of Kenova. FBCK was in the process of planting a church in Huntington (Marshall Community Fellowship), and we committed one year to help get the church plant started. Almost seven years later, there is no other church that we would rather call home. I came on staff with MCF in September of 2015, and am so excited to see how God will use our church family to reach the ends of the earth with the Gospel of Christ.

About me: I have been raised with strong family values, which I have been able to pass down to my children and  grandchildren. This sense of family flows over into my church family, where relationships and discipling are very important to me. I am retired now from more than 30 years in the workforce. I now have more time for others, especially for my wife of 36 years (and counting) Nancy!

About me: I originally came to First Baptist Kenova in 1998, and since that time, have served in many roles, including Lead Pastor, with a focus on Sunday morning worship, church leadership, and outreach ministries. In 2007 I began sensing a need in Huntington for a church dedicated to reaching the families and students who live near the Marshall University Campus and soon MCF was born out of that vision.  For the first year of MCF I taught during the morning services then drove back to Kenova in time to teach at its morning worship service. As MCF grew significantly, the need for a full-time minister at MCF became greater and greater.  We soon called Glenn Larue to become the primary teacher for MCF while I focused on a growing campus at Kenova.

Upon Glenn's departure, it became clear to us that one of our founding members, Adam Goodwin, was the man God had chosen to join Kenova's staff full-time and focus his attention to the leadership and development of MCF.  Today, though I focus primarily on FBC's ministries at Kenova and our new Ashland campus, I continue to walk alongside Adam and the other MCF leaders as they guide that congregation to a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater heart for the community surrounding the Marshall campus.

About me: I grew up in Spencer, WV and came to Huntington in 2005 to major in Broadcast Journalism at Marshall; that fall, I met my wife Allie. After more than ten years, four degrees, two awesome kids, and a dog between us, we are so happy to have found our church home at MCF. We both came to Huntington for school, but this church and its fellowship has helped to make it our home. My day job is as an Academic Counselor and adjunct professor at Marshall, but I enjoy doing Videography for Marshall sports and spending time with my family.

About me: God called my wife and I to MCF back in 2009. While I grew up in the church, I was elementary in my knowledge about the Bible when we started attending MCF. Over the years, I've grown in my knowledge of the Bible, which in turn continues to strengthen my faith. I still have a TON to learn, but am truly excited to see God's plan for our church body.

I grew up in Huntington and attended Marshall. After college I was a sportswriter, before going back to school and becoming an attorney.

We just had our first child in 2015, after struggling with infertility issues. Our daughter is a major blessing and an example of God's perfect timing.

About Me: I have been able to call the state of West Virginia home all of my life. I was born into a Christian home and became a believer at the age of 5. My spiritual journey began there but has taken me all over the world throughout the course of my life. I was blessed to take some time off between high school and college and work with a missions organization called YWAM. After 2 years away from school, I was fortunate to become a Marshall student for what seemed like an eternity, or roughly 11 years. During my undergrad years, I met my lovely wife through our involvement with Campus Crusade. We got married during our senior year of college and we have been blessed with 3 amazing children since then.
